A complete hotel refurbishment of a tired old hotel built in the 60’s and 70’s ‘modernised’ in the late 80’s.

As designer architects, we were involved from the birth of the new concept. Main aim being to create a contemporary boutique hotel with a casual, cosy and totally relaxed ambience, whilst also having a timeless quality. The use of curvy lines, pale colours, and natural materials and textures were employed in order to achieve the desired personality.

The design and construction process lasted four years. The hotel opened in 2012. Seven years later the success of the Alasia boutique hotel has surpassed all expectations in every aspect.

The programme included major structural improvements, several serious extensions and additions, including a new spa, an impressive new swimming pool, a new breakfast room, a totally redesigned new entrance, a new lobby/lounge and a new bar-restaurant with external patios.  The hotel rooms were facelifted for a fresher and more contemporary look. The refurbishment of the main multifunction room and the new kitchen we did a few years before.

The success of this project has given us a tremendous sense of satisfaction. We did have the freedom to make all design decisions which proved to be a good formula for obtaining the best results. The architect/client relationship was excellent and a very close one.

Further work for the hotel is being carried out by us currently.
